Evaluation of Across a Hundred Mountains

What i liked about Across a Hundred Mountains, i liked that at the end of the book there is a twist. Like you cant just read the last chapter because then you'll be confused, in the beginning yeah Adelina's story is really boring but after it gets exciting. But through out the book, its gets exciting, once you get into it you don't want to stop, but also the thing i hated was that, you really need to pay attention to get the twist at the end. Well its not really a twist but like where the whole story makes you think. I didnt really like that at the end i just got so confused, i didnt get it untill someone explained it to me, so then i had to read the last chapter again then i got it.  I dont really know how to explain the end of the book, but like you need two understand both stories, Adelina's and Juana's to under stand. So at the end, Adelina is just any random prostitute and Juana's story is real. Then she talked Adelina's social number. Just read the book. its a good book, with an amazing twist.I recommend it to you all, Across a Hundred Mountains by Reyna Grande.

You Knew Better

The grandmother wanted to build a new hog house and no  theyre really elderly and they couldnt do it but she really wants it, theyre always talking about hogs and i dont know but hopefully more into the book they say more about hogs.

The Witch .

My book was The Witch Of The Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth Geroge Spear. It was a great book, i really liked it, my favorite part was in the beggining where the little girl dropped her doll into the ocean and she was crying because she couldnt get it back and no one cared to turn the ship around. so Kit took matters into her own hand then she jumped into the ocean and got the doll and they thanked her, and everyone thought she was some kind of witch because back then woman never knew how to swim nor read. so it was rare to find a girl like her. she left the barbatos because her grandfather died so she went to the Connecticut colony. then she met Nat and they fell inlove and then they met Hannah who was accused as a witch because the town got sick with a flu and they just assumed it was her. and they wanted to kill her and since Kit talked to Hannah they assumed she was part of the conspiracy. but she wasent , so they helped hannah flee then nat came back for her in his new boat called "the witch". The next book i want to read was Med Head, or Cellular . i heard theyre good , i heard med head from paige and cellular form maria .

Prime Numbers

Prime numbers is what is left when you have taken all the patterns away p.15

Christopher says in Chapter 29 that his name means carrying Christ and he says 'I do not want my name to mean a story about being kind and helpful. I want my name to mean me.'

Equally, Christopher chooses to give his chapters prime numbers because he likes them: they mean something to him.

My Favorite Color

It sounds like white noise everywhere, which is like silence but not empty. p.130

Christopher likes white noise because it blocks out the sound of other things happening in the world. It allows him to concentrate. The noise is peaceful. Having some sound allows him to feel connected to the world, because he knows that by hearing the sound, he exists in the world.

1 more mystery.

I was excited. When I started writing my book there was only one mystery to solve. Now there were two. p. 124

He was happy because his book that hes not only just writing about he dogs courious murder hes also trying to solve what happened to his mom , the accual truth and he wants to go look for her , around this point of the book is where everything ties together and accually everything starts making sence .

Chrsitopher vs. Sherlock Homes

And then I thought that I had to be like Sherlock Holmes and had to detach my mind at will to a remarkable degree so that I did not notice how much it was hurting inside my head. p. 164

i choose this quote because he showing himself that hes a logical thinker, just like Sherlock Holmes, Christopher is capable to disconnect himself from the world and enter his own mental space. Like Holmes.
