"She told me if i didnt go the dishes pn time, she . . . she'd kill me" He cleared his throat before saying, "well . . .you ah . . . you better go back int here and do the dishes' My head leaned foward as if to catch his words. i couldnt believe what i just heard."
I chose this quote because in the beginning of the book he says that his dad is like his hero and that he can make anything better and hes going to take them away from that hell house and now , it seems like his dad doesnt even care.
